Hearing Aids

Hearing aids come in many styles and technology levels. At Family Hearing Center, Dr. Barnes will work with you to find the best hearing aids for your listening needs and lifestyle.

We work with all hearing aid manufacturers. If hearing aids were purchased elsewhere, we can clean and program them to ensure that they are working their best for your hearing needs.

Today's hearing aids can have a variety of features, including rechargeable batteries, direct cellphone or television streaming, and even fitness tracking.

While most people are concerned with price, at Family Hearing Center we truly have a device and service plan to fit everyone's budget, from basic hearing aids that will aid in your everyday communication to top-of-the-line premium hearing aids with artificial intelligence. We offer financing through both Care Credit and HealthiPlan.

Hearing aids also come in a wide variety of styles. Please see below.

Note: Hearing aid style does not affect the price. Prices are determined by technology level. Technology level is determined by listening needs and lifestyle.

Invisible-In-The-Canal (IIC)

The Invisible-In-The-Canal hearing aid is made custom for your ear! It is located deep in the ear canal and is practically invisible, even if you look directly into the ear.

Completely-In-Canal (CIC)

The Completely-In-Canal hearing aid is also made custom for your ear! It is slightly bigger than the IIC; however, still very discrete. It is also placed in the ear canal.

In-The-Canal (ITC)

The In-The-Canal hearing aid is also made custom for your ear! It is slightly bigger than the CIC, thus more visible. It is also placed in the ear canal.

In-The-Ear (ITE)

The In-The-Ear hearing aid is also made custom for your ear! It is bigger than the ITC, thus more visible. It is placed in the ear canal, but also will fit completely inside the outer ear.

Receiver-In-Canal (RIC)

The Receiver-In-Canal hearing aid rests behind the ear and is connected to a small tip by a sturdy wire. It contains directional microphone technology which will help with speech understanding in noise, such as in a restaurant setting.

Behind-The-Ear (BTE)

The Behind-The-Ear hearing aid is slightly bigger than the RIC. It will also rest behind the ear but is connected to an earmold by tubing. It also contains directional microphone technology which will help with speech understanding in noise.
